The fees payable in the federal courts and tribunals will increase from 1 July 2019 to reflect changes to the consumer price index over the past financial year.
The annual increase in the fees payable for applications to the NNTT are provided for in the Native Title (Tribunal) Regulations 1993 and were announced in the Government Gazette on 4 June 2019.
For the NNTT, this means that the fees for all future act determination (section 35) applications and expedited procedure objections will increase to $862.00, if lodged on or after 1 July 2019.
