nformation session regarding notification of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung claim

The Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung claim public notices were published in the Koori Mail and the Melbourne Herald Sun on 8 April 2026. The notification period for this claim is from Wednesday 22 April 2026 – Tuesday 21 July 2026.
The National Native Title Tribunal (‘NNTT’) will hold an in-person information session in relation to this matter on Thursday 14 May 2026 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm AEST.

, located in the
Glyn Davis Building (Building 133), Masson Road, on the University of Melbourne’s Parkville Campus, VIC 3010.
The purpose of the session is to raise awareness and understanding of the native title claims process amongst any interest holders or other interested persons in the application area. The session will cover the nature of native title and extinguishment, the role of the Tribunal, the claims process in the Court and some general information about the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung claim.
