Entity Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Launch
The NNTT is pleased to announce the launch of the Federal Court of Australia Entity Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2026–2027.
The Entity's second Reflect RAP, approved by Reconciliation Australia, was officially launched yesterday at the Brisbane Registry and livestreamed on YouTube.
National Native Title Registrar, RAP Champion and event MC, Katie Stride, officiated the launch, which opened with a Welcome to Country and cultural performance by Tribal Experiences.
Reflections and personal stories were shared by Accountable Authority Sia Lagos; NNTT President Kevin Smith; Senior Judicial Registrar, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA), Lynda Maitland; Director Indigenous Operations (FCFCOA), Kirsty Maylin; Joelle Low from Reconciliation Australia; and Libby Ferrari from Reconciliation Queensland.
“At the NNTT, we work in this space every day and feel deeply passionate about reconciliation. Our vision is for a reconciled future, and we continually consider what that future looks like and how it can be achieved," said NNTT President Kevin Smith.
Key focus areas of the Entity's RAP include strengthening relationships and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander–owned businesses; building cultural capability and awareness across the workforce; and strengthening approaches to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment, retention and professional development.
Titled A River to Justice, the RAP artwork was created by artist Maheen Rind, a Yamatji Badimaya woman with Afghan cameleer heritage. The artwork reflects the Entity coming together as one, united in its commitment to justice and reconciliation.
The Federal Court of Australia Entity RAP is available on the Reconciliation Australia website.
