Registers

This section contains information about

Under the Native Title Act, the Tribunal is responsible for maintaining three public registers. These registers hold comprehensive records of native title determinations, applications and indigenous land use agreements (ILUAs).

The registers are currently not on the internet. The Tribunal is examining the legal and technical issues that need to be addressed in order to provide online access to the public registers.

More information about what the three registers are, what the application summary database is, and why regular checks of the registers should be done can be found in Using the Registers of the National Native Title Tribunal (available in printed or PDF formats).
