Strategic Plan 2006–2008

I am pleased to announce the release of the Tribunal's Strategic Plan 2006-2008. The plan provides us with new direction to respond to our environment, and importantly, guide how we are going to deliver outcomes to our clients.

The new outcome statement, Resolution of native title issues over land and waters, more clearly reflects our work.

The plan contains four key result areas (clients and stakeholders, services, people and business performance) with objectives, strategies and measures listed under each of those key result areas.

Each of these objectives and strategies have been developed having regard to the current environmental challenges and the areas for improvement and will be reflected in the Operational Plans and Performance Management Plans for 2006-07. As part of our ongoing commitment to high standards of accountability and performance, the plan also contains key measures including links to our Portfolio Budget Statement.
