How to apply
You can apply to the Tribunal under the FOI Act to:
- request access to documents
- to have your records corrected.
To do either of these things, you must write to the Tribunal and explain your request.
A standard form is provided by the Tribunal to apply for access to documents or to amend your records under the FOI Act.
If you do not wish to use this form you do not have to, so long as your request is:
- in writing
- provides your name
- provides a contact address (a telephone number or facsimile number is also helpful)
- identifies the required documents
- identifies the manner in which you wish to access or modify the documents
- your request is accompanied by the application fee (if applicable), or you apply to have the fee waived on the grounds mentioned above.
