Full-time member

Mr Daniel O'Dea has been a full-time member of the National Native Title Tribunal since December 2002.

He is based in Perth at the WA Registry.

Prior to his appointment to the Tribunal, Mr O'Dea was the Principal Legal Officer of the native title unit in the Ngaanyatjarra Council since 1996.  At the Council he represented Indigenous people of the Central Desert in native title applications and negotiations.

Before 1995 he worked as a commercial litigator in Western Australia.

In 2007 Mr O'Dea was reappointed for a further five years.
