It is with great sadness that we farewell one of the Tribunal’s long standing staff members, Lisa Wright, who died on 6 December after an illness.
Members and staff, past and present, and clients of the Tribunal will remember Lisa for her passion and commitment to native title. Lisa first joined the Tribunal in July 1998 as a Legal Officer and served the Tribunal in various legal roles until recently.
Lisa’s great love was educating and many will have attended a training session or seminar where Lisa delivered with vitality and flair where she shared her encyclopaedic knowledge of the Native Title Act.
Lisa leaves many long term Tribunal friends and many friends in the broader native title community and her legacy will live on in the Tribunal.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Lisa’s family and friends.
