The National Native Title Tribunal has prepared new guidelines concerning requests for extensions in future act inquiries.
The guidelines set out the Tribunal’s expectations of parties seeking to vary directions to extend the time for compliance in future act inquiries. They are intended to assist parties to ensure extension requests are made and dealt with efficiently and to understand how Tribunal members will consider such requests.
The guidelines apply to expedited procedure objections and future act determination applications. There are links to the document in the future act section of our website and in our online forms.
