Survey results show client satisfaction with Tribunal services

26/07/2010

Tribunal President Graeme Neate has welcomed new research which has shown the level of client satisfaction with Tribunal work has increased.

The independent research, undertaken every two years to report to government, measures stakeholders’ satisfaction and identifies areas where there have been improvements to Tribunal services.

The overall satisfaction rating for the Tribunal in 2010 was 7.47 out of 10, compared with 7.15 in 2008 and 6.77 in 2005.

“This is a pleasing result and recognises the work undertaken by Tribunal staff and members,” Mr Neate said.

“Of course there are always areas for improvement and we will use the research to review our work.

“The drivers for client satisfaction have evolved since we did our first research in 2002, just as native title and its processes evolve. We need to respond to this information where possible by adjusting our services and approach to our business.

“I thank all the Tribunal clients who participated in the research and took the time to answer a telephone survey or complete an online version of the questionnaire.”
