Yidinji and Malanbarra claimants reach agreement

| Representatives of the Yidinji and Malanbarra native title claimant groups had reached agreement on working together, Tribunal case manager Simon Nish said today.
At a meeting convened by the National Native Title Tribunal on Tuesday and held at Gordonvale, the two groups signed an agreement saying they would work together in pursuit of their native title rights to areas within Goldsborough Valley.
"It was a positive meeting that clearly indicated the Yidinji and Malanbarra groups' readiness to achieve a native title outcome through co-operation," Mr Nish said.
The result of the meeting was misrepresented in reports today.
