Postponement of information update on Kaurareg negotiations 

Information updates on the progress of five Kaurareg native title applications in the Torres Strait - which were to be held on Horn and Thursday islands next week - have been postponed.

National Native Title Tribunal Member Graham Fletcher said some outstanding technical issues had to be finalised before the meetings could be held.

Mr Fletcher apologised for any inconvenience caused and said the meetings would be reconvened in the near future to give residents an update on mediation progress.

He said an announcement would be made when new dates had been confirmed.
