The cost of a search carried out by Tribunal staff depends on the time taken to conduct it and increases if geospatial analysis is needed. We try to keep costs to a minimum.
Charges may not apply if you are:
- a party to a native title application (or their legal representative)
- an interest holder in the area of the search (or their legal representative) and intend to become a party to an application in that area
- a party to native title negotiations related to indigenous land use agreements (ILUAs), objection to ILUA or statutory access (or their legal representative)
- an officer of a State or Territory government organisation
- you are unable to pay due to financial hardship.
GST is included where applicable.
